Clean Fuels, Clean Transportation, and Clean Air
Dairy Cows are Fueling California’s Future
California farming and ranching families continue to work tirelessly to not only reduce their own climate footprints, but are also producing renewable transportation fuels that help to lower greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector and greatly improve air quality. Dairy manure, animal fats, food and agricultural residues, and woody biomass are all being used to produce renewable transportation fuels.
From renewable natural gas (RNG) powered buses, to heavy-duty trucks, to electric cars, and beyond, dairy cows are fueling California’s future.
